Yesterday, sitting with one of my oldest and dearest friend, the discussion moved to reality. What is real? His answer was whatever is happening in his life is real. Whatever he can see or touch is real. My thoughts countered it and expressed there is no reality, there is nothing real, all are our beliefs which make things real or unreal. Bacardi was the active catalyst for our discussion. He pointed out that this Bacardi white rum is real for him. After two large pegs, Bacardi itself proved that it is real but my beliefs did not let Bacardi over come them. He believed it to be Bacardi, thats why it is real. He believed because thats what he ordered. The person serving us may have his own reality and he may have served something else which tastes like Bacardi.
We all live in our own realities and they are true and real for us. Sometimes so much real that we deny to accept other people's reality. Whatever we believe is true and real. Same stands for the other person. We cannot change anybody's beliefs, utmost we can influnce them. We cannot change the reality of the other person. Conflicts arise because we do not accept other people's reality, things which are true for them, their beliefs.

Yes, each one of us has his or her own reality our own belief and we live in them.
What about Love, sharing, family.
It is a belief that there exists a bond and for that i need the other person's belief in me too. right. so love is nothing but a belief in each other... Two beliefs in the same thing forming a reality called love. and if one is missing, then there is no love, hence no reality. I maybe thinking aloud here... lots of arguments and counter arguments going on in my head.. but again.. thats MY reality. :)
